Valrath, Scorched Tyrant
A nether-forged tyrant who floods the arena with shockwaves, erupting lava, and rapid dashes.
Valrath is the second boss. He's way harder than Emilya. Shockwaves, fireballs, lava everywhere, and a shield that blocks ALL damage. Beat him to get Valrath's Staff.

Attacks and Abilities
Valrath has 6 attack types:
- Scramble: Dashes at you. Always his first attack of the fight.
- Wave: Sends an expanding ring of damage outward from himself in all directions. Get out before it reaches you.
- Shudder: Ground pound that creates a lava-puddle danger zone around him for 6 seconds. Back off.
- Shoot: Fires a power-2 fireball. Block with a Shield.
- Laser: If you stand still for ~7 seconds, Valrath punishes you with a laser that deals 2 damage and sends "§l§4KEEP MOVING OR DIE!" on screen. Always keep moving.
- Shield: Activates when hit at low HP. Gets 10 charges -- you have to land 10 hits on the shield to drop it before damage gets through. 5-15 second cooldown between shield-up periods.
Shield Mechanic
When his shield is up, nothing hurts him. It activates more often as his health drops, especially below half HP. You must hit the shields to knock them off or they will stay enabled.
Strategy
- Keep moving. Standing still triggers the Laser punishment.
- Block fireballs with your Shield. They're predictable.
- Run away during Shudder and Wave. The ground hazards last several seconds.
- Bring Fire Resistance Potions. The arena floods with lava and you'll take constant damage without it.
